Lleyton Hewitt started successfully participating in Atlanta. The competitor managed to beat Edouard Roger-Wasl from France with 6-4, 6-4.
So in the second round Hewitt is expected to compete with Ryne Williams.
While Mardy Fish did not finish his match against Michael Russell as the match was abandoned in 6-4, 2-4.
This was the first match for Fish after cessation of US Open last year because of heart problems.
