Roger Federer said he would play on the tournament on clay in Hamburg, launched on July 15.
"I am pleased to announce that I'll be playing at a tournament in Hamburg this summer. A place where I have many fond memories," Federer posted on Twitter. 31-year-old Federer will begin on July 22 and the tournament in Gstaad, Switzerland. Federer won the first of his four titles in Hamburg in 2002, but has not played in the German city since 2008.
