Second-seeded Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) qualified for the quarterfinals at Wimbledon after the defeat victory over former No. 1 women's Ana Ivanovic (Serbia) with 6:1, 6:0.
Azarenka achieved five of seven break points and ended the match in less than an hour.
The meeting was suspended with 4:1 in the first set because of rain, which forced organizers to close the roof on center court. And after the resumption of the game Azarenka continued to dominate and win easily.
In the next phase representative of Belarus will meet Austrian Tamira Pashek.
