Serena Williams (USA) won the tournament, "Rogers Cup" in Toronto after the final victory over Samantha Stosur (Australia) 6-4, 6-2 for an hour and 17 minutes of play.
Williams showed that regains its shape after a long absence due to health problems and will be one of the main contestants for the title of the last tournament of the year Grand Slam - the U.S. Open.
This is the fourth tournament for almost a year after Williams' treatment of injury and illness and a second consecutive title after her success at Stanford at the end of July.
American samples serve the tenth in the scheme and Samantha Stosur led 5-4 in the first set, then closed with a 6:4 proportion.
In the second set, Williams made two more breaks to win 6-2.
Former world No 1 Serena Williams, winner of 13 Grand Slam titles, was not placed in the main draw of the tournament in Toronto and is 80th in the WTA rankings. But after her triumph in Toronto, it climbed to 31 th place in the new edition of the rankings.
