Switzerland took irresistible advance with 3-0 win against Portugal and qualified for the World Group playoffs in
Davis Cup tennis for men. In the doubles match today former world No 1 Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka have forced over Federico Gil and Leonardo Tavares 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. In singles matches yesterday Wawrinka beat Gilles 7-5, 6-3, 6-4, and Federer lost a set but managed to cope with Rui Mashado with 5:7, 6:3, 6:4, 6:2 . Sunday two singles matches will not affect the ultimate success of Switzerland.
