Former No. 4 Magdalena Maleeva lost in the semifinals of the doubles tournament of women Legends of Open tennis in France. Maleeva and her partner Natalie This (France) gave a 2:6, 3:6 to Martina Navratilova (USA) and Jana Novotny (Czech Republic). In the other semifinal Lindsay Davenport (USA) Martina Hingis (Switzerland) won 6:3, 6:1 Natasha Zverev (Belarus) and Gigi Fernandez (USA).
