Juan Martin Del Potro jaded world number two seed Novak Djokovic, but eventually said farewell to Open tennis tournament in France. Djokovic, who is seeded two in the main draw of the tournament, continued to second round, having defeated Argentina 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Del Potro, who was until recently a question about race in the French capital, apparently was not in optimal shape because it had an unpleasant injury. Djokovic did record 40th straight victory this year and will play with the representative of the hosts Richard Gasquet for a place in the quarterfinals.
